Introduction to Music
Develops listening skills that add to the enjoyment of music--particularly the art music of western civilization, often referred to as "classical" music; questions the myths that have prevented many people from discovering the enjoyment of such music. Students explore the basic terms related to describing music, learn how to listen to music critically, review important trends in the history of music and discover how to express themselves more clearly when conversing and writing about music. 3 Credits (3 Lecture - 0 Lab)
