The WVU Division of Forestry and Natural Resources strives to spark passion in our students for the principles of stewardship and sustainability of our renewable natural resources. WVU offers a bachelor of science degree in Forest Resources Management(FRM) and a minor in Arboriculture. We are a recognized leader in preparing students for careers in professional forestry ranging from consulting for private woodland owners to managing vast tracts of public forestlands. The minor in arboriculture prepares students to pursue opportunities in the profession as an arborist or urban forester. Industry demand for qualified arborists is increasing. Entering job salaries and salary potential are high, and qualified graduates specializing in arboriculture are actively recruited. While WVU is a large research land-grant university, students within our division get a more personal experience by having a faculty advisor within your major. WVU has a 2+2 agreement with PCT to allow students to complete a Forest Resources Management degree in 2 years. WVU is accredited by the Society of American Foresters. Additional degrees offered by the Division are Wood Science & Technology, Wildlife and Fisheries Resources, and Recreation, Parks and Tourism Resources.
