McLanahan Corporation, headquartered in Hollidaysburg, PA, had its beginnings back in 1835 and has been in business ever since. We are listed by Modern Casting Magazine as the oldest family owned foundry in the United States and ranked by Family Business Magazine in the top 50 oldest family owned companies in the U.S. Starting as a foundry, we have evolved into a world leader of process equipment. In the late 1800's Samuel Calvin McLanahan invented the Log Washer and Single Roll Crusher, providing a base on which our equipment business grew. Today our equipment can process any raw material from the ground by crushing, screening, classifying, washing, separating etc. During the last 10 years we experienced significant growth, under the vision of President/CEO Michael W. McLanahan. In 1996 we added the Ag Machinery Systems Division, located in Hollidaysburg, PA, to serve the dairy industry. In 1998 we purchased HSS Sampling Systems, a supplier of bulk material sampling systems, located in Pittsburgh, PA. Recently in 2001 we purchased the equipment division of Linatex Americas and formed a new company called LPT Group, Inc., located in Gallatin, TN. They design & manufacture equipment used in the construction & mineral sands industries. We are now into our 6th generation of McLanahan ownership and management, however none of this would be possible without the hard work and determination of all the employees who dedicated their lives to the success of the company. We must thank all those employees who came before us for building a base upon which we grow today.
