The Lady Wildcats end 2013 with 13 wins overall and 12 in the PSUACSTATE COLLEGE, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s volleyball team lost 3-0 to top seed Penn State Fayette in the semifinals of the Penn State University Athletic Conference championships Friday. Junior Courtney Gernert (Palmyra) led the Lady Wildcats with nine kills and freshman Cathleen Aviles (Robesonia) with 13 assists. With the loss, Penn College finishes the season 13-20 overall and 12-6 in the PSUAC.

The Lady Wildcats totaled 65 digs as a teamWILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s volleyball team ended the playoff run of #5 Penn State Hazleton Tuesday with a 3-0 win. The #4 Lady Wildcats swept 25-22, 25-16, 25-14. The match was a defensive battle with senior Rachel Heller (Allison Park) leading all players with 21 digs. Junior Courtney Gernert (Palmyra) led all hitters with 15 kills and added 17 digs. With the victory, Penn College improves to 13-19 overall and 12-5 in the conference as well as advances to the Penn State University Athletic Conference semifinals.

The Lady Wildcats end the regular season 12-19 overallALFRED, N.Y. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s volleyball team lost back-to-back matches to Alfred State Saturday in the team’s final two regular season games Saturday. The Lady Wildcats lost in straight sets in both matches with match one’s scores 25-13, 25-20, 25-6 and match two’s 25-11, 25-11, 25-3. With the losses, Penn College ends the regular season 12-19 overall.

The Lady Wildcats end conference play for the regular season 11-15WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – With the help of 33 kills and 24 aces as a team, the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s volleyball team swept Penn State Scranton 3-0 Thursday night. The Lady Wildcats won 25-6, 25-15, 25-13 hitting an impressive .393 as a team. The home match was the final for the regular season for Penn College as they improve to 12-17 overall and 11-5 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

The Lady Wildcats lost 3-1 to Fayette but bounced back to sweept Greater Allegheny 3-0WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s volleyball team split two games as it hosted three Penn State University Athletic Conference teams Sunday. Penn College lost 3-1 to perennial powerhouse Penn State Fayette but followed up with a 3-0 sweep against Penn State Greater Allegheny. With the wins, the Lady Wildcats improve to 11-17 overall and 10-5 in the PSUAC.

With the wins, Penn College improves to 9-4 in the PSUACHAZLETON, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s volleyball team swept a Penn State University Athletic Conference quad match Saturday. The Lady Wildcats defeated Penn State Beaver and Penn State New Kensington both 3-0. With the wins, the team improves to 10-16 overall and 9-4 in the PSUAC.

As a team, Penn College totaled 32 acesWILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Notching 32 aces as a team, the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s volleyball team defeated Penn State Wilkes Barre 3-0 Thursday. Junior Courtney Gernert (Palmyra) and freshman Kaitlyn Klein (Lock Haven) each recorded eight in the win with Gernert also hitting 11 kills to lead the team. With the victory, the Lady Wildcats improve to 8-16 overall and 7-4 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

Freshman Kaitlyn Klein had two blocks against Mont AltoMONT ALTO, Pa. – Junior Courtney Gernert (Palmyra) totaled 25 kills as the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s volleyball team split two matches competing at a Penn State University Athletic Conference quad match at Penn State Mont Alto. The Lady Wildcats won 3-0 over Penn State York before being swept by host Mont Alto. With the split, Penn College is now 6-16 overall and 5-4 in the PSUAC.

Gernert totaled 30 kills and 13 services aces on the dayWILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s volleyball team split two matches as it competed at a Penn State University Athletic Conference quad match at Penn State Brandywine. The Lady Wildcats won 3-0 over Penn State Schuylkill before being swept by host Brandywine. Junior Courtney Gernert led the offense totaling 30 kills and 13 service aces in the two matches. With the split, Penn College is now 5-15 overall and 4-3 in the PSUAC.

Rachel Heller led the Lady Wildcats with 15 digsWILLIAMSPORT Pa. – Senior Rachel Heller (Allison Park, Pa.) racked up 15 kills as the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s volleyball team came up just short to Elmira College 3-0. The Lady Wildcats got off to a slow start losing set one 25-10 but came back with some hard fought sets losing only 25-18 and 25-20. Junior Courtney Gernert (Palmyra) led Penn College with 11 kills and added 10 digs to the mix. With the loss, the team now drops to 4-14 overall.

Courtney Gernert was named to the All-Tournament TeamWILLIAMSPORT Pa. – Junior Courtney Gernert (Palmyra) was named to the Lycoming College Class All-Tournament Team as the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s volleyball team finished day two of the tournament 0-2. The Lady Wildcats lost 3-0 to both Ithaca College and host Lycoming. Gernert had a strong tournament totaling 49 kills in the tournament which includes 20 kills from day two. With the losses, Penn College now drops to 4-13 overall.

Penn College lost in straight sets to both Misericordia University and Elmira College. With the losses, the team falls to 4-11 overall.

The Lady Wildcats lost 25-19, 25-13, 25-18 despite leading in the first and third sets. Junior Courtney Gernert (Palmyra) led with 14 kills and added seven digs to the mix. With the loss, the team now drops to 4-9 overall and 3-2 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

The Lady Wildcats allowed only 16 points from the Lions winning 25-6, 25-4, 25-6. Junior Courtney Gernert (Palmyra) led with 14 aces an added four kills. With the win, Penn College improves to 4-8 overall and 3-1 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

Rachel Heller recorded 18 digs in the winPHOENIXVILLE, Pa. – Junior Courtney Gernert (Palmyra) notched 17 kills, six service aces and 10 digs to help the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s volleyball team beat Valley Forge Christian College 3-1 Thursday. The Lady Wildcats took the sets 26-24, 19-25, 25-14, 25-13. Freshman Cathleen Aviles (Robesonia) added 25 assists in the win while senior Rachel Heller (Allison Park) was strong on defense with 18 digs. With the win, Penn College improves to 3-8 overall.

Lindemuth had 14 kills in the winSCRANTON, Pa. – With the help of 14 kills from sophomore Loralee Lindemuth (Tidioute), the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s volleyball team defeated Penn State Scranton 3-0 Wednesday. The Lady Wildcats were strong on the service line recording 18 aces, including five from Lindemuth. With the win, Penn College improves to 2-8 overall and 2-1 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

The Lady Wildcats lost 3-0 in all games against Baptist Bible College, Wilkes University and Lycoming College. Junior Courtney Gernert (Palmyra) led the team totaling 34 kills while freshman Cathleen Aviles (Robesonia) notched 44 assists. With the losses, Penn College falls to 1-7 overall.

Courtney Gernert had a season high 16 kills in the winWILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Snapping a four-game losing streak, the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s volleyball team defeated Penn State Hazleton 3-0 (25-20, 25-17, 25-19) Thursday night. The win is the first on the season and opens the Lady Wildcats to a perfect 1-0 record in the Penn State University Athletic Conference. Junior Courtney Gernert (Palmyra) recorded a season high 16 kills in the win and freshman Cathleen Aviles (Robesonia) had a career high 29 assists.

The Lady Wildcats dropped both games 3-0Losses Saturday at Penn State Harrisburg against Harrisburg, 13-25, 23-25, 16-25, and King’s College, 16-25, 24-26, 25-27, dropped Penn College to 0-3 on the season. Against PSU Harrisburg, Courtney Gernert, of Palmyra, had seven kills; Catie Aviles, of Robesonia, had 10 assists; and Gernert and Rachel Heller, of Allison Park, each had two digs. Against King’s, Gernert had 10 kills and four aces, Aviles had 18 assists and Heller five digs.
