The Lady Wildcats end the regular season capturing two wins overallMONT ALTO Pa. – Freshman Brooke Reed (Hamburg) won in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1 at third singles as the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s tennis team lost 3-2 to Penn State Mont Alto Wednesday. The Lions forfeited the second doubles slot, but were able to win first doubles and the first two singles flight. The game is the final for the season for the Lady Wildcats as they finish 2-8 overall and 1-3 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

Pompili battled in a three set victory at fourth singlesWILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Despite a fourth singles victory from junior Taylor Pompili (Renovo), the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s tennis team lost 8-1 to Lycoming College Thursday. Pompili edged out Abbey Smith in three set battle 7-6 (7-2), 2-6, 10-5. The Lady Wildcats fought hard in all matched with several decided by tie-breakers and third sets. With the loss, they now fall to 2-7 overall.

Taylor Lapointe recorded the lone victory for the Lady WildcatsWILLIAMSPORT Pa. – Despite a 6-0, 6-1 victory at third singles from sophomore Taylor Lapointe (Pelham, N.H.), the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s tennis team lost 3-2 to Penn State Mont Alto Sunday. Mont Alto forfeited second doubles giving Penn College the advantage going into singles play, but the one-two punch of Annette Deusch and Kathiegong Williams proved too much to overcome. With the loss, the Lady Wildcats now drop to 2-6 overall and 1-2 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

Stabley's three-set victory clinched the win for the Lady WildcatsWILLIAMSPORT Pa. – Freshman Melissa Stabley (Cogan Station) won a three set nail-biter at first singles to clinch a victory over Penn State Brandywine Saturday for the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s tennis team. Stabley defeated the Lions’ Emily Seeburger 1-6, 7-6 (7-1), 6-3. Brandywine swept all doubles matches, but the Lady Wildcats came back to sweep singles and earn the 3-2 victory. With the win, Penn College improves to 2-5 overall and 1-1 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

Jenna Walmer won with partner Melissa Stabley at first doublesLA PLUME, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s tennis team lost a close match to Keystone College 5-4 Wednesday. Short one player, the Lady Wildcats were forced to forfeit two matches which could have altered the outcome of the match. With the loss, the team now falls to 1-5 overall.

Despite being swept in all matches, most points had long rallies and the games were tight. With the loss, the Lady Wildcats fall to 1-3 overall.

Taylor Lapointe was the lone winner for the Lady Wildcats at third singlesMEDIA – On the road Saturday in its Penn State University Athletic Conference opener at Penn State Brandywine, the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s tennis team lost, 4-1. The Wildcats now are 1-1 overall and 0-1 in the conference. Taylor Lapointe, of Pelham, N.H., at No. 3 singles, was the lone Penn College winner.

Melissa Stabely took her second singles match 6-0, 6-3WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s tennis team opened up its 2013 season with a dominating win over Baptist Bible College 8-1. The Lady Wildcats were strong in all of their wins dropping only one set to the Defenders. Junior Taylor Pompili (Renovo) had a strong opener winning in straight sets at fourth singles 6-0, 6-0.
