The Lady Wildcats end the year with a 12-13 overall recordMEDIA, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s basketball team lost 80-62 to #1 Penn State Brandywine in the Penn State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) Quarterfinals Tuesday. Freshman Jamie Steer (South Williamsport) led all scorers with 22 points while senior Kierstin Steer (South Williamsport) notched 13. With the loss, the Lady Wildcats end their season 12-13 overall and 7-8 in the PSUAC.

Jamie Steer led with 37 points, a season and personal highWILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Freshman Jamie Steer (South Williamsport) scored a season high 37 points to lead the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s basketball team to a 93-89 win over Penn State Scranton Sunday. The win clinches as a spot in the conference playoffs for the Lady Wildcats and is the final game of the regular season. Senior Kierstin Steer (South Williamsport) recorded a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds in the game that is the highest scoring for the team. The win evens the team out to 12-12 overall and 7-7 in the Penn State University Athletics Conference.

The Lady Wildcats will next face Penn State Scranon on Sunday, Feb. 10WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Senior Kierstin Steer (South Williamsport) scored 15 points leading the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s basketball team in its 68-44 loss to Southern Virginia University. Freshman Jamie Steer (South Williamsport) notched 13 and sophomore Mackenzie Brown (Lititz) added 11 in the game. The Lady Wildcats are now 11-12 overall with one game remaining in the regular season.

The Lady Wildcats must now beat PSU Scranton on Sunday to earn a berth into the playoffsSCRANTON, Pa. - Senior Kierstin Steer (South Williamsport) notched 18 points in the Pennsylvania College of Technology women's basketball team's 76-52 loss to Penn State Scranton. The loss drops the team to 6-7 in the Penn State University Athletics Conference. With only one more conference game remaining, against Scranton, the Lady Wildcats are in a must-win situation to qualify for a playoff berth. Sophomore Jenna Matzinger (Coudersport) added 10 points and 16 rebounds in the loss.

The Lady Wildcats must win at least one of their two remaining PSUAC games to qualify for playoffsWILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Despite 11 points and 10 rebounds from sophomore Jenna Matzinger (Coudersport), the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s basketball team lost 70-54 to Penn State York Tuesday. Freshman Jamie Steer (South Williamsport) added 19 points in the game. The loss drops the team to 11-10 overall and 6-6 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference. They now must win at least one of the two remaining conference matches to earn a berth in the conference playoffs.

The win is the third straight and improves the team to 11-8 overall and 6-4 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

The Lady Wildcats scored 42 points in the second half to seal the victoryWILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – With 42 points in the second half, the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s basketball team defeated Penn State Schuylkill 72-48 in Penn State University Athletic Conference action Wednesday. The Lady Wildcats were only up 30-27 at the break, but put on an offensive show in the second to take the victory. Freshman Jamie Steer (South Williamsport) led with 20 points while sophomore Jenna Matzinger (Coudersport) notched a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds. The win improves the team to 10-8 overall and 5-4 in the PSUAC.

Jenna Matzinger scored a personal high 21 points in the winWILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Sophomore Jenna Matzinger (Coudersport) scored a personal high 21 points and added 12 rebounds to lead the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s basketball team to a 66-60 win over Davis College Saturday. With the game tied at 60 and 24 seconds remaining, senior Kierstin Steer hit a jumper giving the Wildcats the advantage. Some clutch free throw shooting from Matzinger and freshman Jamie Steer (South Williamsport) helped close out the game with the six-point advantage. Jamie Steer ended the game with 12 and had 10 rebounds while Kierstin Steer had 11 points. The win improves the team to 9-8 overall.

Mazkenzie Brown had 14 points and rebounds against BrandywineWILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Despite leading throughout most of the game, the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s basketball team lost 94-88 in overtime to undefeated conference opponent Penn State Brandywine. The Lady Wildcats led 37-35 at the break and were ahead as high as 15 in the game that evens them out to 4-4 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference and 8-8 overall. Freshman Jamie Steer (South Williamsport) scored a season and personal high 33 points.

Senior Kierstin Steer had 15 points in the winWILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – With the help of 20 points and 13 rebounds from sophomore Jenna Matzinger (Coudersport), the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s basketball team defeated Central Penn College 80-71 Monday. With the game delayed over an hour due to the inclement weather, the Lady Wildcats had to shake off a rough start in the first half that saw them go into the break tied at 38. Also for the team, freshman Jamie Steer (South Williamsport) scored 18 points and added 21 rebounds while sophomore Mackenzie Brown (Lititz) had 13 and 16, respectively. The win improves the team to 8-7 overall.

Sophomore Mackenzie Brown (Lititz) recorded a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds while sophomore Dana Reed (Sunbury) and senior Kierstin Steer (South Williamsport) each scored in the double figures with 17 and 10 respectively. The loss now drops Penn College to 7-7 overall and 4-3 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

Jamie Steer recorded her fifth double-double in the winHAZLETON, Pa. - With four players in double figures, the Pennsylvania College of Technology women's basketball team defeated Penn State Hazleton 69-61. Freshman Jamie Steer (South Williamsport) led with 17 points and 11 rebounds while sophomore Mackenzie Brown (Lititz) also notched a double-double with 11 points and a team-leading 13 rebounds. Rounding out the top scorers was sophomore Jenna Matzinger (Coudersport) with 16 points and senior Kierstin Steer (South Williamsport) with 10. With the win, the Wildcats improve to 7-6 overall and 4-2 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

The Wildcats open conference play a perfect 1-0WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – With the help of 24 points and 11 rebounds from freshman Jamie Steer (South Williamsport), the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s basketball team defeated Penn State Hazleton 69-66 in the team’s Penn State University Athletic Conference opener. The Wildcats were down 41-33 at halftime but came back with an offensive surge in the second to claim victory. Also notching a double-double was sophomore Jenna Matzinger (Coudersport) with both 15 points and rebounds while senior Kierstin Steer (South Williamsport) also had a strong night with 14 points. The win improves Penn College to 1-0 in conference and 3-3 overall.

Kierstin Steer becomes the first women's basketball player in Penn College history to record 1,000 career pointsWILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Against Alfred University, senior Kierstin Steer (South Williamsport) reached the 1,000 point mark to become the first Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s basketball player to reach the milestone in school history. Steer needed 12 points to accomplish the feat and ended the game with 13 scoring the historic bucket with just over three minutes left in the game. The Wildcats lost to the Saxons 94-64 with freshman Jamie Steer (South Williamsport) leading the way with 14 points. The loss drops the team to 2-2 overall.
