Playoff hopes were dashed the Lady Wildcats fell to Hazleton on ThursdayHAZLETON, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s basketball team lost a 56-54 nail biter to Penn State Hazleton Thursday. The loss drops the team out of playoffs. The team finishes the season out 8-15 overall and 6-8 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

Penn College honored graduating seniors Kierstin Steer and Samantha Wallish prior to the start of the gameWILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Freshman Tosha Stover (Bellefonte) scored 13 as the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s basketball team lost 77-52 to Penn State Schuylkill. Sophomore Kierstin Steer (South Williamsport) racked up a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds.

The Wildcats scored only 15 points in the first half against BeaverMONACA, Pa. – Sophomore Kierstin Steer (Williamsport) scored 20 points and had nine rebounds but it was not enough to help the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s basketball team defeat PSUAC powerhouse Penn State Beaver. The Wildcats lost 96-47 dropping to 8-13 overall and 6-6 in the PSUAC.

Freshman Keiosha Cooksey (Harrisburg) led the Wildcats with 12 points and six rebounds. This is the fourth straight loss for Penn College as they drop to 7-9 overall.

The Wildcats snapped a two-game losing streak with the victory WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Sophomore Kierstin Steer (South Williamsport) netted 14 and pulled down seven rebounds as the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s basketball team broke a two game losing streak with a 66-54 win over Penn State York. The win keeps the team at the top of the PSUAC North Division. Freshman Hilary Rice (Biglerville) added 13 points on the night.

The Wildcats notched 31 rebounds in the loss to MisericordiaWILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Despite 10 points from sophomore Kierstin Steer (South Williamsport) the Pennsylvania College of Technology dropped its first game of 2011 89-34 to Misericordia University. The Wildcats committed 31 turnovers which led to the scoring onslaught and shot only 24.1 percent from the field. Penn College now drops to 4-4 overall.

Freshman Tasha Stover (Bellefonte) added 10 points, eight rebounds and six assists on the night as the Wildcats open up conference play a perfect 1-0 while improving 3-3 overall.

Lycoming College controlled the pace of the game and cruised to an 89-46 victory over Penn CollegeWILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Despite 16 points and six rebounds from sophomore Kierstin Steer (South Williamsport), the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s basketball team lost 89-46 to cross city rival Lycoming College. The Lady Wildcats struggled to get off solid shots as Lycoming notched 11 blocked shots and caused 25 turnovers earning 23 points off of them.
