The Lady Wildcats will next face #3 Ave MariaAKRON, Ohio – With the help of two home runs, including the game-winning, walk-off grand slam from freshman Jessica Gmerek (Bellefonte), the Pennsylvania College of Technology softball team defeated No. 4 Carlow University 10-7 Tuesday night at the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Small College World Series. Both team’s traded leads with Carlow taking a 7-5 edge into the bottom of the seventh. After the Lady Wildcats scored a run to cut the lead, Carlow intentionally loaded the bases to make a force at home, but Gmerek made them pay sending one over the fence. The win keeps Penn College alive in the tournament and will next take on No. 3 Ave Maria at 9 p.m tonight.

The Lady Wildcats will get right back into action tonight at 7 p.m.AKRON, Ohio – Committing four errors and allowing five unearned runs, the Pennsylvania College of Technology softball team lost 8-0 in five innings to No. 2 Lindenwood-Belleville Tuesday at the United States Collegiate Athletics Association (USCAA) Small College World Series. The Lady Wildcats had a tough day at the plate with sophomore Karey Wolfe (Milton) the only player to record a hit in the game. With the loss, the team falls to 19-13 overall and will have to fight its way back in the loser’s bracket of the double elimination tournament.

The Lady Wildcats advance to take on No. 2 Lindenwood-BellevilleAKRON, Ohio – Taking down No. 7 New Hampshire Technical Institute 6-2, the Pennsylvania College of Technology softball advanced in the winner’s bracket at the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Small College World Series Monday. Freshman Arika Stopper (Williamsport) recorded the win allowing two earned runs off of eight hits with eight strikeouts. Freshman Macie Lucas (Reedsville) led the offense with two hits and two RBI as the team improves to 19-12 overall. The Lady Wildcats will take on No. 2 Lindenwood-Belleville later tonight at 8 p.m.

The Lady Wildcats win their first conference championships since 2007STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – Taking on the No. 1 Penn State Mont Alto for the Penn State University Athletic Conference championship game, the Pennsylvania College of Technology softball team defeated the top seed 1-0 to capture its first conference championship since 2007. Freshman Jessica Gmerek (Bellefonte) recorded the winning RBI while freshmen Brianne Brewer (Jersey Shore) and Arika Stopper (Williamsport) recorded the shared shutout with Brewer earning the victory. The win is the 12th straight for the Lady Wildcats who now earn a berth to the United States Collegiate Athletic Association National Championships in Akron, Ohio.

The Lady Wildcats finish out the regular season with a DH against PSU Beaver WednesdayWILMINGTON, Del. – With wind speeds up to 30 mph and rain throughout, the Pennsylvania College of Technology softball team squeaked out a 14-13 win over Penn State Brandywine Tuesday. The game, a conference match-up, was supposed to be a doubleheader but poor field conditions canceled game two. Sophomore Delaney Blubaugh (Waynesboro) recorded the win as Penn College improves to 15-12 overall and 11-4 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

The Lady Wildcats have now won eight straight gamesWILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Winning its seventh and eighth straight games, the Pennsylvania College of Technology softball team swept Penn State New Kensington 7-1 and 11-1 on Monday. Freshmen Brianne Brewer (Jersey Shore) and Arika Stopper (Williamsport) recorded the wins in the games while sophomore Rachael Shaeffer (Hampstead, Md.) went 6 for 7 (.857) with seven RBI and three runs to lead the offense. With the wins, the Lady Wildcats improve to 14-12 overall and 10-4 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

The Lady Wildcats totaled 39 hits between the two gamesSCRANTON, Pa. – Totaling 39 hits in the two games, the Pennsylvania College of Technology softball team swept Penn State Scranton 16-0 and 12-1 Friday. Freshman Arika Stopper (Williamsport) and sophomore Delaney Blubaugh (Waynesboro) each recorded the win on the mound for the team. Penn College now improves to 6-4 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference and 10-12 overall.

Freshman Arika Stopper (Williamsport) and sophomore Kimberly Walter (Beavertown) each recorded a win while freshman Jessica Gmerek (Bellefonte) led the offense going a perfect 3 for 3 with five RBI. With the sweep, the Lady Wildcats improve to 8-12 overall and 4-4 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

The Lady Wildcats are now 2-4 in the PSUAC with the splitMCKEESPORT, Pa. – With the help of five hits and RBI from sophomore Alexandra Brennan (Saint Clair), the Pennsylvania College of Technology softball team split a conference doubleheader with Penn State Greater Allegheny Saturday. Freshman Arika Stopper (Williamsport) won the opener 5-3 withthe Lions coming back in game two to win 8-7. With the split, Penn College is now 6-12 overall and 2-4 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

The Lady Wildcats are now 5-11 overall with the sweepELMIRA, N.Y. – Facing a tough Elmira College pitching staff, the Pennsylvania College of Technology softball team lost 2-0, 8-0 in a non-conference doubleheader Friday. The Lady Wildcats totaled only three hits and were struck out 19 times between the two games. With the loss, they fall to 5-11 overall.

Katie Kratzer recorded one of Penn College's two hits in game oneWILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Freshmen Brianna Brewer (Jersey Shore) and Arika Stopper (Williamsport) threw two very strong games but the Pennsylvania College of Technology softball team could not get enough offense against Penn State Mont Alto Sunday. The Lady Wildcats lost 1-0 in the opener with Brewer striking out 11 in the outing and 2-0 in game two with Stopper striking out five. Penn College’s offense struggled against Mont Alto’s Sarah Bortner who allowed only four hits between the two games. With the losses, the Lady Wildcats drop to 5-9 overall and 1-3 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

The Lady Wildcats lost by only one run in both gamesWILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology softball team lost two, one-run games to Alfred State College Thursday. The team lost 3-2 in the first and then 8-7 in an extra-inning second. The Lady Wildcats had a tough day at the plate totaling only seven hits between the two games. With the sweep, Penn College is now 5-7 overall.

Arika Stopper recorded the win in game one allowing only three hitsWILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Freshman Arika Stopper (Williamsport) pitched a seven-inning gem to lead the Pennsylvania College of Technology softball team in its split with Penn State Hazleton Thursday. Stopper won game one 6-0 allowing only three hits with six strikeouts. Hazleton’s bats came alive in game two winning 7-3. With the split, Penn College is now 4-6 overall and 1-1 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

The Lady Wildcats dropped both losing 8-5 to Gordon College and 9-0 to Mt. Aloysius College. With the sweep, the Lady Wildcats finish the tournament 3-5 overall.

With the split the Lady Wildcats improve to 3-3 overallMYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Sophomore Kimberly Walter (Beavertown) and freshman Brianne Brewer (Jersey Shore) put in a combined effort on the mound to help the Pennsylvania College of Technology softball team defeat Arcadia University 4-3 Wednesday. Walter recorded the win going four innings with a strikeout. The game was the second of the day at the team’s spring break tournament in Myrtle Beach. The Lady Wildcats lost 4-3 to Dakota State. With the split, Penn College is now 3-3 overall.

The Lady Wildcats totaled 10 hits on the dayMYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Despite two hits and an RBI each from freshmen Marie Lucas (Reedsville) and Jessica Gmerek (Bellefonte), the Pennsylvania College of Technology softball team dropped two games on day two of its spring break tournament in Myrtle Beach. The Lady Wildcats fell 5-1 to Penn State Harrisburg in the first game and were just edged out by Ursinus College 2-1. The loss evens the team out to 2-2 overall.

The Lady Wildcats opened with an 8-0 win against Gordon College then followed up with a 5-3 victory over SUNY IT. Freshmen Brianne Brewer (Jersey Shore) and Arika Stopper (Williamsport) each recorded a win for Penn College.
