WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Sophomore Lacy Lose (Avis) and freshman Emily Yoder (Catawissa) each recorded wins in the Pennsylvania College of Technology softball team’s sweep of Penn State Scranton 6-4, 6-2. Lose won the first game striking out a season high 12 batters while Yoder had four. The games are the final two for the Wildcats that end the 2012 season 6-24 overall and 5-11 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

NANTICOKE, Pa. - The Pennsylvania College of Technology softball dropped two to Luzerne County Community College Tuesday, losing 4-1 and 6-5. The Wildcats committed six errors between the two games accounting for seven unearned runs. The losses drop the team to 4-24 overall.

MCKEESPORT, Pa. - The Pennsylvania College of Technology lost in extra innings twice to Penn State New Kensington Sunday. The Wildcats were defeated 6-3 and 4-3 in the doubleheader, both in eight innings. Sophomore Lacy Lose (Avis) pitched both games for the Wildcats totaling 14 strikeouts. Freshman Britni Fennell (Conyngham) led the with two RBI. The losses drop the team to 4-22 overall and 3-11 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Sophomore Lacy Lose (Avis) recorded two wins with 12 strikeouts as the Pennsylvania College of Technology softball team swept Penn State Greater Allegheny 5-3 and 8-0. Freshman Casey Davis (New Albany) had a strong day with three hits, a run and an RBI. The win improves the Wildcats to 4-20 overall and 3-9 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Despite two hits and three RBI from freshman Britni Fennell (Conyngham), the Pennsylvania College of Technology dropped two games to Penn State Hazleton Wednesday. The Wildcats lost 18-0 in game one and were just edged out 7-5 in the second. The loss drops the team to 2-20 overall and 1-9 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

ELMIRA, N.Y. - Despite four hits from freshman Stephanie Koleno (Moshannon), the Pennsylvania College of Tehnology softball team dropped two games to Elmira College Wednesday. The Wildcats were outscored 25-0 in the two games losing 15-0 and 10-0. The losses drop them to 2-18 overall.

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Sophomore Lacy Lose (Avis) had two hits and three RBI and earned a win on the mound as the Pennsylvania College of Technology softball team split a conference doubleheader with Penn State Schuylkill Tuesday. The Lions came into the doubleheader undefeated and suffered their first loss of the season 3-2 in game one. They rebounded defeating Penn College (2-16, 1-7 PSUAC) 6-0 in game two with pitcher Bryanna Snowell recording a no-hitter with eight strikeouts.

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology softball team lost 13-0 and 3-0 to Penn State Beaver Sunday. Beaver pitcher Korey Freyermuth recorded both wins, pitching a five-inning no-hitter in game two and giving up only two hits total in both games. Freshmen Britni Fennell (Conyngham) and Cora Bova (Port Allegany) recorded the only hits for the Wildcats. They now fall to 1-15 overall and 0-6 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology softball team was swept in conference action by Penn State Fayette Saturday afternoon. The Lions staged a come-from-behind win in game one winning 9-6 in eight innings and put on an offensive show in game two winning 13-0 in five. The losses drop the Wildcats to 1-13 overall and 0-2 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference while Fayette improves to 4-8 and 2-0 respectively.

The Wildcats fell 9-1 in the opener and followed with a tigh 10-9 loss. The loss drops Penn College to 1-11 overall and 0-2 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

The Wildcats lost both games 7-3 dropping their overall record to 1-7. Freshman Stephanie Koleno (Moshannon) also had a strong day going 3-6 (.500) with an RBI.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology softball team closed out the 2012 Snowbird Softball Tournament in Myrtle Beach, S.C. with a 15-0 loss to Olney College Thursday morning. “We’re still struggling with injuries,” said head coach Roger Harris. “Our team batting average has been good all week, we just need to string some more hits together. We’ve definitely got some things to build on as we travel home and start our conference games. We need to get healthy now.”

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology softball team lost 14-0 to Eastern University on day three of the 2012 Snowbird Softball Tournament in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The loss drops the team to 1-4 overall. The Wildcats suffered without key players in the game due to injury. “Three of our starters are out due to injury,” said head coach Roger Harris. “Two of those are pitchers so we were only able to get one game in today.” Penn College canceled its second game of the day against SUNY-IT.

The Wildcats lost 8-0 (5 inn.) to Swarthmore College and then fell 5-4 to Miami Univ. (Hamilton). “We need to execute when we have the opportunity,” said head coach Roger Harris. “We’re a young team and we’re hitting the ball well. This is just something we need to improve and built on.”

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology softball team split a pair of games on its first day of the 2012 Snowbird Softball Tournament in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The Wildcats opened with a 6-5 win over Southern Vermont College and then fell 15-0 (5 inn.) to King’s College (Pa.). “We hit the ball better than we anticipated,” said head coach Roger Harris. “We only have two returning starters from last year’s team, so it was a nice surprise.”
