ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Freshman Sterling Weikel (Dewart) netted a goal in the first half to lead the Pennsylvania College of Technology to a 1-0 over #6 University of Southern Maine College at the United States Collegiate Athletic Association Men’s Soccer Championships. The game was consolation as the #7 Wildcats lost its opening round 2-0 to #2 Briarcliffe College. Sophomore Phil Bair (Franklintown) assisted on the goal as Penn College finishes the 2011 season 13-7-2 overall.

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Despite six saves from freshman keeper Aaron Volz (West Chester), the Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s soccer team lost 2-0 to #2 Briarcliffe College at the United States Collegiate Athletic Association Soccer Championships Wednesday. The Wildcats allowed two early goals and never rebounded. The loss drops the team out of contention for the title.

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Sophomore Tristan Smith (Southampton, Bermuda) scored two to help the Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s soccer team win its second straight Penn State University Championship 2-1 over Penn State Hazleton. Senior Patrick Kehoe (Oley) assisted on both as the team earns a berth into the United States Collegiate Athletic Association National Championship Tournament in Asheville, N.C.

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Junior Ben Shade (Fleetwood) scored the game winner and added an assist as the Pennsylvania College of Technology defeated Penn State Brandywine 3-1 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Semifinals. The Wildcats will face the winner of #1 Penn State York and #4 Penn State Hazleton on Saturday, Oct. 29.

SCRANTON, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology dropped its final regular season match 2-0 to Marywood University Saturday. The game is the fifth this week for the Wildcats having to play several rescheduled conference matches due to the inclement weather throughout the season.

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Sophomore Chris Brennan (New Hope) scored the overtime goal to lead the Pennsylvania College of Technology to a 1-0 win over Penn State New Kensington. The win clinches the #2 seed in the Penn State University Athletic Conference playoffs. Penn College will face Penn State Brandywine on Wednesday, Oct. 26 for the semifinals.

SCRANTON, Pa. – Despite downpours and slippery conditions, the Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s soccer team defeated Penn State Scranton 3-1 Wednesday night. Sophomore Chris Brennan (New Hope) scored the game winner that sees the team improve to 9-5-2 overall and 6-1-1 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

Sophomore Chris Brennan (New Hope) was named the United States Collegiate Athletic Association’s Player of the Week for the period ending Oct. 16. Brennan scored four goals in two games, including a hat trick and the game-winner against NCAA Division III Alfred University. He also scored a goal in the teams’ 5-0 win against Penn State Beaver. Brennan leads the Wildcats in goals this year with 11 and points with 24.

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s soccer team dropped its first conference match of the season with a 1-0 loss to Penn State Hazleton Tuesday night. Penn College outshot the Lions 24-14 but failed to get any momentum. The loss now drops the team to 8-5-2 overall and 5-1-1 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Sophomore Chris Brennan (New Hope) scored in the 92nd minute to lead the Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s soccer team to a 5-4 victory over Alfred University. The overtime victory is the second straight for the Wildcats after defeating Penn State York in overtime last Saturday. Brennan notched a hat trick and scored the game winner off a deflection from a Saxon defender that was the result of a set piece just outside the center box.

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Sophomore Ben Shade (Fleetwood) scored the game winner in overtime to help lift the Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s soccer team over Penn State York 2-1. Shade’s goal came in the 94th minute when Penn College drove the ball in the from the 18 yard line that deflected off a defender right to Shade’s foot. The loss is the first for York this season in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

Sophomore Tristan Smith (Bermuda) and freshman Matteo Frazzoni (Bermuda) each scored two goals in the victory with Smith recording the game-winner. Sophomore Mitchell Pequignot (Trout Run) added a goal and three assists.

Sophomore Christopher Brennan (New Hope) scored two goals as the Wildcats outshot Schuylkill 37-1. The win is the first in the Penn State University Athletic Conference for the team that improves to 3-1-1 overall and 1-0-1 in conference.

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – Freshman Chris Brennan (New Hope) scored a goal but it wasn’t enough as the Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s soccer team lost 5-1 to Lebanon Valley College Sunday. The game was the second for the Wildcats at the Centenary College Holiday Inn Classic and both teams came into the match having won their opening round games. The loss is the first suffered by the Wildcats on the season as they drop to 2-1-1 overall.

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Despite goals from sophomore Chris Brennan (New Hope) and Sterling Weikel (Dewart), the Pennsylvania College of Technology tied 2-2 with Penn State Brandywine in conference action Saturday. Brennan and Weikel scored back-to-back goals in the 24th and 27th minute, respectively, before the Lions made the comeback with a goal in the 36th followed by a successful penalty kick in the opening minutes of the second..

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Five different players netted goals as the Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s soccer team opened its 2011 season with a 5-0 defeat over Davis College. The Wildcat defense allowed only one shot as the offense put on a show with 33. Sophomore Cody Sollenberger (Lancaster) scored the game winner on an unassisted deflection in the 10th minute.
