SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, Pa. - Freshman Colton Acorn (Wellsboro) scored 22 in the Pennsylvania College of Technology men's basketball team lost 77-64 to Penn State Schuylkill Monday night. Sophomore Bryant House (Columbia Crossroads) sank 11 while freshman Scott Fenton (Dickson City) added 10. The loss drops the team to 4-20 overall and 4-11 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – After starting the game hot and building a double-digit lead, the Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s basketball team offense stalled and allowed Penn State Wilkes Barre to steal a 58-47 victory. Freshmen Colton Acorn (Wellsboro) and Azeez Sulaimon (Burtonsville, Md.) led the team scoring 10 each. The loss drops the team to 4-19 overall and 4-10 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Freshman Michael Smith (Pleasantville, N.J.) hit a three with five second left in overtime to lift the Pennsylvania College of Technology to its second straight win over Penn State Scranton 77-75. The Wildcats trailed by one in the final second of the game and clutch shooting from Smith sealed the victory. He ended the game with five points. Freshman Scott Fenton (Dickson City) led the team with 24 points and 13 rebounds while freshman Colton Acorn (Wellsboro) added 14 and 10 respectively. The win improves the team to 4-18 overall and 4-9 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

MEDIA, Pa. - The Pennsylvania College of Technology men's basketball team pulled out an upset with a 66-62 victory over Penn State Brandywine. Brandywine is second in the Penn State University Athletic Conference south division while the Wildcats are in last place in the north. Freshman Scott Fenton (Dickson City) led the Wildcats with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Sophomore Bryant House (Columbia Crossroads) and freshmen Colton Acorn (Wellsboro) and Michael Smith (Pleasantville, N.J.) each added 13 points in the win.

DUBOIS, Pa. – Freshman Scott Fenton (Dickson City) notched 14 as the Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s basketball team lost 78-49 to Penn State DuBois Saturday. The Wildcats were down 47-18 at half, a deficit too great to overcome. The loss drops the team to 2-18 overall and 2-9 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

WILKES BARRE, Pa. - Freshman Scott Fenton (Dickson City) sank 15 to lead the Pennsylvania College of Technology men's basketball team but the Wildcats lost 62-49 to Penn State Wilkes Barre Thursday night. Turnovers were an issue throughout the game as the team committed 24 allowing the Lions to run up the score. Freshman Colton Acorn (Wellsboro) added 10 points in the loss.

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – It was déjà vu all over again as the Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s basketball team dropped a tight game to Penn State Hazleton 62-60. The Wildcats lost 57-56 to Hazleton earlier in the season. Freshman Colton Acorn (Wellsboro) had a personal high 20 points to lead all scorers. Freshman Scott Fenton (Dickson City) added 15 while sophomore Ethan Kline (Hazleton) had 13.

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – In a game with seven lead changes and five ties, the Pennsylvania College of Technology defeated Penn State Lehigh Valley 53-50 Monday night. The win snaps an eight game losing streak dating back to December. Freshman Scott Fenton (Dickson City) led all scorers with 23 points and notched a ‘double-double’ pulling down 13 boards.

SCRANTON, Pa. - The Pennsylvania College of Technology men's basketball team led throughout the first half of the game but fell 67-46 to Penn State Scranton Wednesday night. The Wildcats went into the second half up 31-29 but lost their offense allowing for Scranton to just edge them out. Freshman Scott Fenton (Dickson City) led the team with 17 points while freshman Colton Acorn (Wellsboro) had 16 and led with seven rebounds.

GLENSIDE, Pa. - Freshman Scott Fenton (Dickson City) tied his personal high of 24 points to lead the Pennsylvania College of Technology men's basketball team as it lost 84-41 to Arcadia University Monday night. The Wildcats were down several starters due to injury and fell behind in the first half 45-13. Freshman Colton Acorn (Wellsboro) added 12 points and a team-leading nine rebounds in the loss that sees the team fall to 1-14 overall.

YORK, Pa. - The Pennsylvania College of Technology men's basketball team lost 89-50 to Penn State York Sunday. The Wildcats came out strong ona 12-3 run but couldn't hold the pace and trailed 47-29 at the half. "We started of strong," said head coach Chris Lemasters. "They came back and hit some threes and we never really recovered." Freshman Scott Fenton (Dickson City) led the Wildcats with 21 points and freshman Colton Acorn (Wellsboro) added 10.

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. –Freshman Scott Fenton (Dickson City) scored 18 and freshman Michael Acquaro (Oakhurst, N.J.) added 10 as the Pennsylvania College of Technology lost 104-53 to Penn State Fayette Saturday. Fayette scored an impressive 67 points in the opener of the game, a deficit too great for the Wildcats to overcome. Penn College now drops to 1-10 overall and 1-3 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. –Freshman Scott Fenton (Dickson City) sank 18 to lead the Pennsylvania College of Technology but it wasn’t enough to overcome a 70 point second half from Wilkes University in the 100-61 loss Thursday night. The Wildcats were tied at 30 at the break but could not combat the offensive show put on by Wilkes (8-3) that saw the team shoot .545 (24-44) from the field.

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Freshman Jason Greenfield (Wellsboro) scored 16 points in the Pennsylvania College of Technology’s 105-68 loss to Penn State Beaver Saturday afternoon. It was a full team effort from Beaver that had 13 players contribute points in the game. Freshmen Michael Acquaro (Oakhurst, N.J.) and Scott Fenton (Dickson City) added 12 and 11 points respectively for the Wildcats. Penn College now drops to 1-8 overall and 1-2 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.
Fenton Named PSUAC 'Player of the Week'

Freshman Scott Fenton (Dickson City) was named the Penn State University Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the period ending Dec. 4. Fenton averaged 18.5 points per game in a 1-1 week – including a season-high 22 points against Penn State Mont Alto – helping the Wildcats to their first win of the season. He also totaled 14 rebounds, three steals and three assists. This is Fenton’s first PSUAC honor of the year. He leads the Wildcats in scoring, averaging 10.8 points per game. He’s also shooting .530 (35-66) from the field and has 11 steals in eight games so far this season. Penn College hosts Penn State Beaver in its final game of 2011 at 3 p.m. Saturday.

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Freshman Scott Fenton (Dickson City) notched a season high 22 points to the lead the Pennsylvania College of Technology to a 63-59 win over Penn State Mont Alto. Down 59-58 with 1:48 remaining in the game, the Wildcats tied it up with a made free throw from sophomore Ethan Kline (Bellefonte). A missed jumper by the Lions allowed for Fenton to hit a layup for the lead. Another missed jumper forced Mont Alto to foul and Kline finished out the game making two from the line to clinch it.

HAZLETON, Pa. –Sophomore Bryant House (Columbia Cross Roads) notched 16 points and nine rebounds but the Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s basketball team lost a 57-56 heartbreaker to Penn State Hazleton Wednesday night. The Wildcats had the lead going into the last minute of play when freshman Jason Greenfield (Wellsboro) hit a layup to go up 56-55. He then fouled on Hazleton’s next position that allowed for the game to tie at 56 with just ten seconds remaining. Another foul, this time from freshman Colton Acorn (Wellsboro) sent Hazleton back to the line where it hit one of two to take the lead by one. With only three seconds remaining, the Wildcats were unable to hit a shot for the win.
