Junior Leroy Joiner (Williamsport) and senior Greg Solyak (Lititz) have been named Penn State University Athletic Conference All-Conference selections. It marks the third time Joiner has been honored by the PSUAC and the first time for Solyak.

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – In one of the mostly hotly contested matches of the season, the Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s basketball team fell 76-73 in overtime to Penn State Beaver in the Penn State University Athletic Conference final. Junior Leroy Joiner (Williamsport led all scorers with 27 as the Wildcats end the season 15-13 overall and 14-4 in the conference.

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Junior Leroy Joiner (Williamsport) had 17 points and 13 rebounds to help the Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s basketball team defeat Penn State Wilkes Barre 58-48 in the Penn State University Men’s Basketball Championships Semifinals. The Wildcats will take on Penn State Beaver in the conference finals on Wednesday, Feb. 23 at 9 a.m. in the Bryce Jordan Center on the campus of Penn State University.

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s basketball team earned a trip to State College for the Penn State University Athletic Conference men’s basketball semifinals with a 79-62 win over Penn State Brandywine. Junior Leroy Joiner (Williamsport) led the team with 22 points and seven rebounds. The Wildcats will face the winner of the Penn State Wilkes Barre and Penn State Mont Alto game on Tuesday, Feb. 22 at 9 a.m. at the Bryce Jordan Center.

HAZLETON, Pa. – Junior Leroy Joiner (Williamsport) sank 23 points and pulled down 11 boards as the Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s team defeated Penn State Hazleton 79-69. Senior Greg Solyak had 22 points as the team finishes the regular season 13-12 overall and 12-3 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

The Wildcats were tied at 34 at the break but shot poorly and hit only four baskets the entire second half. Senior Phillip Kaylor (Lebanon) rounded out the top scorers with 12.

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Penn College senior Greg Solyak (Lititz) was named the United States Collegiate Athletic Association Men’s Basketball Division II Player of the Week for the period ending Feb. 6. Solyak averaged 23 points in a 2-0 week for the Wildcats. In the win over No. 9 Penn State Wilkes-Barre, he broke the Penn College men’s basketball all-time scoring record.

Solyak needed 15 to take the lead over alum Joe Simon who had 1,425 career points. Junior Leroy Joiner (Williamsport) led all scorers with 30 points.

SCRANTON, Pa. – Senior Greg Solyak (Lititz) sank 15 and junior Leroy Joiner (Williamsport) had 21 as the Pennsylvania College of Technology defeated Penn State Scranton 72-60. The Wildcats were down 33-30 at the half, but put the press on and staged a comeback in the last five minutes of play. The team improves to 6-7 overall and 5-1 in the PSUAC.

Penn College junior Leroy Joiner, of Williamsport, was named the United States Collegiate Athletic Association Men’s Basketball Division II Co-Player of the Week for the period ending Jan. 16. In a 1-1 week for the Wildcats, Joiner averaged 22.5 points and 11.5 rebounds, while shooting .545 from the field. In both games, he recorded "double-doubles" to bring his season total to 11.

Senior Greg Solyak (Lititz) led all scorers with 23 points while junior Leroy Joiner notched his fifth double-double with 21 points and 13 rebounds. Penn College improves to 1-0 in the PSUAC and 2-4 overall while Hazleton drops its sixth straight loss and is 0-1 in the PSUAC.

Junior Leroy Joiner (Williamsport) notched a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds to lead all scorers. The win breaks the Wildcats’ four game losing streak and improves the team to 1-4 overall.

Joiner averaged 19 points and nine rebounds to led the Wildcats. Penn College now falls to 0-4 overall.
