It might not have been the finish he was hoping for, but Pennsylvania College of Technology golf coach Matt Haile saw some good things from his team on Tuesday’s final day of the Penn State University Athletic Conference/United States Collegiate Athletic Association championships.

UNIONTOWN, Pa. – Sophomore Alex Howe (Lake Ariel) shot a 77 on a par 72 to help the Pennsylvania College of Technology golf team win the Red Poling Invitational hosted by Penn State Fayette. Howe’s score placed him first among all 24 golfers in attendance. The win is the second straight and third total for the team.

MCKEESPORT, Pa. – Junior Dan Kramer (Avon, Conn.) shot a 79 on a par 72 to tie for first place and help the Pennsylvania College of Technology golf team win the Bernie Guss Classic hosted by Penn State New Kensington. The Wildcats just beat out conference rival Penn State Mont Alto by one stroke scoring a team total of 326. This is the second win for the team this season.
Teeple Named Week's Top Player in USCAA

Freshman Corey Teeple (Lake Ariel) was named the United States Collegiate Athletic Association Player of the Week for the period ending Sept. 18. Teeple shot a 74 on a par 72 to place first at the Penn State Mont Alto Invitational at Penn National Golf Course and help the Penn College golf team to the top spot. This is Teeple’s first USCAA honor of the year and of his career. He and the Wildcat golf team will travel to Penn State New Kensington for another conference invitational Sept 27.

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Sophomore Chad Vuoccolo (Lock Haven) shot a 79 on a par 72 to place second and help the Pennsylvania College of Technology golf team to a second place finish at its home invitational Monday. Penn State Mont Alto was the winner scoring a 320 with the Wildcats just behind with a 328. Four teams competed at the White Deer Golf Club with a total of 22 golfers in attendance.

MONT ALTO, Pa. – Freshman Corey Teeple (Lake Ariel) shot a 74 to help lead the Pennsylvania College of Technology golf team to victory at the Penn State Mont Alto Invitational. Conditions were rainy and windy on the day, but the Wildcats were able to overcome the weather. Teeple’s score placed him first among 21 golfers in attendance. The Wildcats, with a score of 336, just edged out Penn State Mont Alto who scored 345.
