The Wildcats end the season with an impressive 24 winsMONT ALTO, Pa. – Despite winning its quarterfinal game against No. 6 Penn State Beaver 4-0, the No. 3 Pennsylvania College of Technology baseball team could not get past No. 2 Penn State Brandywine falling 4-3 in the semifinals. Junior Tyler Cooklin (Rippey, Iowa) notched the win in the first game with seven strikeouts and a strong defense behind him. The loss ends the season for the Wildcats that finish up 24-11 overall and 16-6 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

The Wildcats will await to see what seed they get for the PSUAC playoffsWILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – With the help of strong pitching from junior Tyler Cooklin (Rippey, Iowa) and freshman Kyle Fox (Fleetwood), the Pennsylvania College of Technology baseball team swept King’s College (JV) Sunday with scores of 8-6 and 10-5. The Wildcats racked up 19 hits in the games, six of which were extra-bases. With the sweep, Penn College ends the regular season 23-10 overall and 15-5 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

The Wildcats will await to see if they have a second or third seed for the PSUAC playoffsWILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Despite three hits and two RBI from freshman Cole Weachock (Pottsville), the Pennsylvania College of Technology baseball team dropped two games to Penn State Brandywine 4-1 and 5-2 Saturday. The Wildcats led in both games, but Brandywine made late-inning comebacks to earn the sweep. With the losses, Penn College falls to 21-10 overall and 15-5 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

Tyler Cooklin struck out a season high 14 in game oneWILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Solidifying its second place spot in the Penn State University Athletic Conference, the Pennsylvania College of Technology swept Penn State Schuylkill 5-3 and 6-5 Wednesday. Junior Tyler Cooklin (Rippey, Iowa) struck out a season high 14 batters to win game one while freshman Christopher Glunk (Jersey Shore) won game two in relief in extra innings. The wins lift the Wildcats to a 15-3 conference record while improving to 21-8 overall.

The Wildcats bounced back to win game two after dropping the opener 9-8MONACA, Pa. – Senior Josh Longsderff (Columbia) recorded a win with two strikeouts as the Pennsylvania College of Technology baseball team split a conference doubleheader with Penn State Beaver Friday. The Wildcats dropped game one 9-8 but rallied in game two to win 2-1 behind Longsderff’s performance. With the split, the team is now 19-8 overall and 13-3 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

PSU Mont Alto scored first in both gamesWILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology baseball team held off a feisty Penn State Mont Alto squad to sweep a conference doubleheader Sunday. The Wildcats won 9-2 in game one and 10-9 in the second, getting the winning run in the bottom of the seventh with two outs. Freshman Nicholas Pupo (Lewistown) notched the victory in the opener while junior Zachary Buterbaugh (Conestoga) did in game two. With the wins, the Wildcats now improve to 16-7 overall and 10-2 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

The Wildcats now improve to 14-7 overallYORK, Pa. – Combining for 13 strikeouts on the day, senior Josh Longsderff (Columbia) and junior Tyler Cooklin (Rippey, Iowa) led the Pennsylvania College of Technology baseball team to a sweep of Penn State York Saturday. Cooklin pitched a complete game one with seven strikeouts for the 5-1 win while Longsderff allowed only one hit and added six strikeouts to his five-inning, 13-0 victory. Junior Zachary Buterbaugh (Conestoga) led the offense with six hits on the day. With the sweep, the Wildcats improve to 14-7 overall and 8-2 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

Kyle Fox recorded the win in game oneWILLIAMSPORT – Junior Zachary Weil went 3 for 6 with two runs and two RBI to lead the Pennsylvania College of Technology baseball team in its sweep of Penn State Wilkes-Barre Wednesday. The Wildcats trailed in both games as Wilkes-Barre capitalized on some errors and clutch hitting. Senior Joshua Longsderff (Columbia) and freshman Kyle Fox (Fleetwood) each recorded a win on the mound. With the victories, Penn College improves to 12-7 overall and 6-2 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

The Wildcats left 10 runners on base in the 11 inningsWILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology baseball team dropped a marathon game to Marywood University Saturday losing 8-7 in 11 innings. The Wildcats went through seven pitchers in the game with junior Zachary Buterbaugh (Conestoga) recording the loss. Junior Zachary Weil (Kutztown) led the offense going 3-5 with two RBI and a run. The loss now drops Penn College to 10-7 overall.

Josh Longsderff hit a grand slam in game twoWILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Senior Joshua Longsderff (Columbia) racked up two hits, including a grand slam, to lead the Pennsylvania College of Technology baseball team to a sweep of Penn State Hazleton Thursday. Longsderff totaled five RBI on the day and also notched the win on the mound in the first game. The Wildcats won 18-4 and 11-0 totaling 24 hits and .809 slugging percentage between the two games. With the sweep, Penn College improves to 10-6 overall and 4-2 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

Junior Matthew Demilio (Greensburg) and freshman Christopher Glunk (Jersey Shore) each recorded a win on the day. With the victories, the Wildcats improve to 8-6 overall and 2-2 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

The Wildcats are now 6-6 overall and 0-2 in the PSUACWASHINGTON, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology baseball team dropped a doubleheader to conference rival Penn State Greater Allegheny Monday. The Wildcats lost 5-4 in extra innings in game one and were shut out 5-0 in the second. Junior Zachary Weil (Kutztown) led the offense capturing two RBI on the day including a solo home run. With the sweep, the Wildcats fall to 6-6 overall and 0-2 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

Zachary Weil had an RBI in game one against MansfieldMANSFIELD, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology baseball team dropped two games to Mansfield University Tuesday by scores of 7-3 and 19-5. The Mounties’ offense was strong against the Penn College pitching staff totaling 27 hits between the two games. Junior Zachary Buterbaugh (Conestoga) led the Wildcats in game one with three hits while freshman Cole Weachock (Pottsville) stepped up in game two with two hits including a three-run home run. The losses now drop the Wildcats to 6-4 overall.

Nicholas Pupo thre an 81-pitch gem against Sauk ValleyMYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Freshman Nicholas Pupo (Lewistown) threw a four-hit gem to lift the Pennsylvania College of Technology baseball team to a 5-2 win over Sauk Valley Community College Thursday. The Wildcats competed in their final games of the Ripken Experience Spring Break Tournament in Myrtle. They dropped their night game to a strong Henry Ford Community College 9-0 ending the week 6-2 overall.

Josh Longderff recorded the win improving to 2-0 on the seasonMYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Junior Zachary Buterbaugh (Conestoga) came up just shy of the cycle recording two singles, a double and triple as the Pennsylvania College of Technology baseball team defeated West Virginia – Wesleyan 13-5 Wednesday night. Buterbaugh’s four hits contributed to the 15-hit effort by the Wildcats competing on day four of the Ripken Experience Spring Break Tournament in Myrtle Beach. Senior Joshua Longsderff (Columbia) recorded the win for the team allowing five hits, three earned runs and five strikeouts. The win improves Penn College to 5-1 overall.

Zachary Buterbaugh closed out the game pitching an inning with 2 K'sMYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Junior Tyler Cooklin (Rippey, Iowa) notched five strikeouts and allowed only three hits in five innings of work as the Pennsylvania College of Technology baseball team defeated Penn State Schuylkill 6-1 Tuesday during the Ripken Experience Spring Break Tournament in Myrtle Beach. The win is the second on the year for Cooklin who maintains a 0.00 era. Sophomore James Simasek (Landenberg) led the offense going 2-4 with an RBI. The win improves the Wildcats to 4-1 overall.

The Wildcats edged out Spoon River 12-10MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology baseball team split two games on day two of the Ripken Experience Spring Break Tournament in Myrtle Beach Monday. The Wildcats downed Spoon River Community College 12-10 in an extra innings battle but fell 11-3 to a strong West Virginia Wesleyan squad. With the split, Penn College is now 3-1 overall.
