STORRS, Conn. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology archery team took home six first place trophies at the New England Collegiate Archery Tournament this past weekend. The tournament, hosted by the University of Connecticut (UCONN), had over 50 archers in attendance from UCONN, Columbia, and Penn State. Sophomore Zachary Bixby (Gillett) for men’s compound and freshman Jordan McGowan (Carlisle) for men’s bowhunter won first place in their respective disciplines. Penn College also took tops spots in the team rounds in men’s bowhunter and compound and mixed recurve and bowhunter.

HARRISONBURG, Va. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology archery team had four individuals and three teams take first place at the Adam Wheatcroft Memorial Invitational hosted by James Madison University this weekend. Freshmen Matthew Cummings (Mountville) and Nicole Lapinski (Bloomsburg) won the men’s and women’s compound competition, respectively. Also, sophomore Kelvin Dewalt (Easton) and freshman Kendal Baier (Jersey Shore) took home first in the men’s and women’s bowhunter competitions, respectively. In the team competitions, women’s compound and both the men’s and women’s bowhunter teams earned top honors.

HARRISONBURG, Va.– The Pennsylvania College of Technology archery team dominated team competition and added an individual title at the U.S. Indoor Championships-East Region at James Madison University. The Wildcats took seven of the nine team competitions and freshman Nicole Lapinski (Bloomsburg) took first in the individual women's compound competition. "I'm happy with how everyone shot," said head coach Brian Parker. "We've got a long season to go, but if we keep shooting like this, we should be a strong contendor at nationals."

TAYLOR, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology archery team cleaned house at the PA State Indoor Championships Collegiate Division in Taylor, Pa. The Wildcats had five champions in the event with 13 making the top three spots. Senior Glen Thomas (Mercer) won men’s recurve, freshman Andrew Everett (New Market, Md.) took men’s compound while freshman Nichole Lapinski (Bloomsburg) won on the women’s side, and sophomore Joseph Dowdrick (Lebanon) took the top spot in men’s bowhunter while freshman Eileen McKinney (New Brighton) won the women’s flight.

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - Freshman Nicole Lapinski (Bloomsburg) took first place in the women's open flight as the Pennsylvania College of Technology archery team competed at the Early Bird Expo Shoot in Bloomsburg this past weekend. The Wildcats sent 18 archers to the event and had eight place finishers. "We did well," said head coach Brian Parker. "It was an event that got their feet wet and got us ready for what is to come."
