This is the tenth straight conference championship won by Penn College

MEDIA, Pa. - The Pennsylvania College of Technology men's cross country team captured its 10th consecutive Penn State University Conference Championship Saturday. The Wildcats beat out six other conference schools with a score of 32 with Penn State Greater Allegheny taking second at 53 points. Sophomore Dan Flynn (Blairstown, N.J.) was the top finisher for the team medaling at third place with a time of 30:42.

Aside from Flynn, the Wildcats had two top ten finishers. Sophomore Dan Starr (Stewartstown) was sixth with 31:14 and freshman Dan Blauvelt (Flemington, N.J.) was seventh with 31:23. Junior Ed Knyff (Ocean Gate, N.J.) had one of his strongest finishes of the year placing 14th in a time of 31:57 with freshman Justin Huey (Kersey) following at 16th with 32:08. Freshman Michael Acquaro (Oakhurst, N.J.) rounded out the top 20 finishers running a 32:49.

On the women's side, freshman Eileen Harrington (Springfield, Va.) placed 28th in a time of 32:08 and freshman Michelle Holzmann (Saylorsburg) 33rd with a 42:49.

Penn College next travels to Lake Placid, N.Y. for the United States Collegiate Athletic Association Championships on Nov. 9.
