MEDIA, Pa. – Freshmen Luke McFalls (New Oxford) and Tarik LaRoche (Muncy) each recorded a goal to lift the Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s soccer team to a 2-0 win over Penn State Brandywine Saturday. Freshman Jonatan Leon-Ruiz (Landenberg) recorded two saves in the shutout. The win improves the team to 1-1-1 and becomes the first victory in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

McFalls scored in the 25th off a pass from sophomore Jacob Tuck (Hollsopple). The Wildcats took the 1-0 lead into the half. The game was tight over the next 25 minutes before LaRoche sealed the deal from senior Ben Shade (Fleetwood) in the 70th.

Both teams played tough defense as Penn College totaled seven shots to the Lions’ five.

Next up, the Wildcats host Valley Forge Christian College on Monday, Sept. 10 for a 5 p.m. game.
