MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology softball team closed out the 2012 Snowbird Softball Tournament in Myrtle Beach, S.C. with a 15-0 loss to Olney College Thursday morning. “We’re still struggling with injuries,” said head coach Roger Harris. “Our team batting average has been good all week, we just need to string some more hits together. We’ve definitely got some things to build on as we travel home and start our conference games. We need to get healthy now.”

For Penn College (1-5) freshman Emily Yoder (Catawissa) pitched five innings giving up seven earned. Olney struck early with 11 runs in the first two innings. Freshman Kaseen Woodward (Troy) just missed a chance to put the Wildcats on the board with a deep shot to the fence that turned into a double.

The Wildcats totaled five hits and four errors in the game. Olney added two runs in the third and the fifth to end the game early.

Next up, Penn College will host Penn State Harrisburg on Saturday, Mar. 17 for a 1 p.m. double header.
