The Wildcats had eight archers place at the Early Bird Expo

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - Freshman Nicole Lapinski (Bloomsburg) took first place in the women's open flight as the Pennsylvania College of Technology archery team competed at the Early Bird Expo Shoot in Bloomsburg this past weekend. The Wildcats sent 18 archers to the event and had eight place finishers. "We did well," said head coach Brian Parker. "It was an event that got their feet wet and got us ready for what is to come."

Also for Penn College, sophomore Ashley Baker (Coudersport) took second in the women's open flight. Senior Glen Thomas (Mercer) placed third in men's open class first flight while freshmen Matthew Cummings (Mountville) and Andrew Everett (New Market, Md.) placed fifth and 10th respectively.

In bowhunter second flight, sophomore Kelvin Dewalt (Easton) took fifth and sophomore Joseph Dowdrick (Lebanon) was eighth. Rounding out the place finishers was senior Clint Hinton (Lock Haven) who was fifth in the men's open class third flight.

Next up, the Wildcats travel to Taylor, Pa. for the Pennsylvania Indoor Championships on March 3.
