WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s soccer team notched a season high 69 shots in the team’s 6-0 win over Penn State Beaver Sunday. Freshman Elizabeth Greis (Pottsville) scored a hat trick in the win that is the Wildcat’s third straight. They now improve to 3-5-2 overall.
Freshman Valeria Passalacqua (McAlisterville) got things started in the 22nd when junior Kierstin Steer (South Williamsport) sent her a pass that gave her a shot 10 yards out. Just five minutes later, Greis opened up her tab by taking a pass from Steer to the corner of the goal.
Steer finished the game with a season high four assists.
Greis scored again this time off a cross from Steer that she headed in the 30th. Freshman Catherine Wise (Mechanicsburg) got a quick pass from sophomore Jocelyn Moyer (Tower City) in the 37th to score her first goal of the game.
Freshman Lauren Hammer (Center Valley) closed out the half, again from Moyer, with a shot 10 yards out. The Wildcat defense did not allow one shot from Beaver in the half.
