The loss drops the Wildcats to 2-8 in the PSUAC

WILKES BARRE, Pa. - Freshman Scott Fenton (Dickson City) sank 15 to lead the Pennsylvania College of Technology men's basketball team but the Wildcats lost 62-49 to Penn State Wilkes Barre Thursday night. Turnovers were an issue throughout the game as the team committed 24 allowing the Lions to run up the score. Freshman Colton Acorn (Wellsboro) added 10 points in the loss.

Penn College (2-17, 1-8 PSUAC) had an early lead in the game at 16-13. With just seconds remaining in the first half and the game tied at 16, Wilkes Barre hit a three to go into the break with the lead. Penn College shot 42 percent in the first half.

Out of the break, the Wildcat offense let down allowing for Wilkes Barre to take a 20 point lead over the first ten minutes. The Wildcats shot 30 percent in the half.

As a team, Penn College had 35 rebounds to the Lions' 39.

Next up, the Wildcats travel to Penn State DuBois for a 3 p.m. game on Saturday, Feb. 4.
