Fall 2011 Cross Country: USCAA Championships - Lake Placid, N.Y.

It was cold and snowy on the Olympic Course
LAKE PLACID, N.Y. - The Pennsylvania College of Technology men's cross country team closed out its season with an impressive eighth place finish at the United States Collegiate Athletic Association Cross Country Championships in Lake Placid, N.Y. Junior Travis Cain (Bloomsburg) was the team's top finisher in the 8K race placing 31st in a time of 30:55. A total of 15 teams competed with 148 runners in attendance.
Senior Corvin Oberholtzer (Wellsboro) finished 38th in 31:22, freshman Dan Rose (Albrightsville) was 57th at 32:28 and freshman Dan Flynn (Blairstown, N.J.) was 65th with 32:49. Freshman Dan Starr (Stewartstown) and sophomore Ed Knyff (Ocean Gate, N.J.) finished back-to-back at 73rd (33:05) and 74th (33:08) respectively. Junior Will Fuka (Clifton, Va.) rounded out the top 100 finishers at 76th in a time of 33:14.
Also for the Wildcats, junior Robert Forbes (Warren) was 103rd at 35:20, senior Seth Beckman (Linden) 105th at 35:42, and junior Joseph Chadowski (Fairfax, Va.) 126th at 38:04.
