Freshman Tiffany Turgeon scored the lone goal for the Wildcats
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Freshman Tiffany Turgeon (Hooversville) scored in the fifth minute but the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s soccer team earned a draw against Lincoln University (Pa.) Thursday night. This is the second tie for the Wildcats on the season as they are now 0-1-2 overall. Freshman keeper Stephanie Koleno (Moshannon) had seven saves on the evening.
After Turgeon’s goal, the Wildcats enjoyed the lead until the 17th when Lincoln’s Kesha Nsiah-Ababio dodged the defense to send into the back of the net. Penn College would go on to outshoot the Lions 11-4 in the half but could not convert any into game winners. The goals would stand through the end of the game.
As a team, the Wildcats outshot Lincoln 23-18 with six corner kicks. The game was hotly contested with 22 fouls total.
Penn College will next take on Lycoming College for the second annual Battle for the Lumber on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 4:30 p.m. The game will be played at Balls Mills Complex.
