Penn College improves to 2-1 in the PSUAC
ALLENTOWN, Pa. –Freshmen Nathan Scott (Canton, Conn.) and Adam Smith (Duncannon) won both their singles and doubles matches to help the Pennsylvania College of Technology tennis team defeat Penn State Lehigh Valley 6-1 Monday. Scott came back from a first set loss to win first singles 4-6, 6-4, 10-3 and then partnered with Smith to take first doubles 6-2, 6-0. Smith won his second singles match in straight sets 6-4, 6-4. The win improves the Wildcats to 2-1 overall and in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.
Also for Penn College, freshman Eric Isherwood (Pocomoke, Md.) battled and won at fourth singles 7-5, 6-7 (3-7), 11-9. Freshman Chris Morrison (Hershey) and sophomore Adam Groff (Washington Boro) won second doubles 6-3, 6-4.
The Lions forfeited ladies first singles giving Penn College its sixth match win on the day.
Next up, Penn College hosts Penn State York on Thursday, Sept. 29 at 3 p.m.
