The Wildcats did not drop a set the entire day
MEDIA, Pa. - Freshman Kelly Hebert (Wellsboro) had 19 kills and four blocks to help lead the Pennsylvania College of Technology women's volleyball team go 2-0 at a Penn State University Athletic Conference quad match hosted by Penn State Brandywine. The Wildcats did not drop a set defeating Brandywine 3-0 and then Penn State Schuylkill 3-0. Sophomore Rachel Heller (Allison Park) added 18 digs on the day.
Penn College (10-7, 7-0 PSUAC) edged out Brandywine 25-20, 25-20, and 25-17. Hebert had 11 kills in the game with Heller having nine digs. Sophomore Lindsay Moyer (Canton) had a good game with eight kills and two blocks while senior Lyndsey Smith (Mechanisburg) led the team with 25 assists.
As a team, the Wildcats notched 33 kills and eight aces.
In the second game against Schuylkill, Penn College breezed through 25-16, 25-21, and 25-20. Junior Alyssa Millard (Sayre) had a season high 16 assists. The team notched 27 kills and 18 aces.
Next up, the Wildcats travel to Penn State York for a quad match with Penn State Mont Alto on Sunday, Oct. 2 at noon.
