The win is the Wildcats' fourth straight

HAZLETON, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s volleyball team swept Penn State Hazleton 3-0 to stay undefeated in the Penn State University Athletic Conference. Junior Tara Powell (Burgettstown) led the team with seven kills and nine aces. The victory improves the Wildcats to 8-6 overall and 5-0 in the PSUAC.

Penn College found its groove early and took each set easily 25-12, 25-11, 25-10. Also for Penn College, senior Lyndsey Smith (Mechanicsburg) had 26 assists and three kills.

As a team, the Wildcats totaled 34 kills and committed only 10 errors the entire game. This is the second time the two teams have met this season with Penn College winning 3-0 on Sept. 17.

Next up, Penn College hosts Elmira College on Thursday, Sept. 29 for a 7 p.m. match.
