Fall 2011 Women's Volleyball: PSU Scranton

The Wildcats allowed only 15 points from PSU Scranton
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Senior Lyndsey Smith (Mechanicsburg) notched nine aces and 11 assists to lead the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s volleyball team to a 3-0 win over Penn State Scranton Thursday night. The match was the home and conference opener for the Wildcats as they improve to 3-5 overall and 1-0 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.
In the teams’ most dominating performance to date, Penn College allowed only 15 total points from the Lady Lions. The team cruised to a 25-1 win in the first set followed by 25-9 and 25-5 victories.
Also for the Wildcats, freshman Courtney Gernert (Palmyra) led the team with six kills and added four aces while sophomore Lindsay Moyer (Canton) had six.
In total, Penn College tallied 26 aces, a season high.
Next up, the Wildcats will host on Mt. Aloysius on Thursday, Sept. 8 at 7pm.
