Dan Kramer tied for first place at the Bernie Guss Classic
MCKEESPORT, Pa. – Junior Dan Kramer (Avon, Conn.) shot a 79 on a par 72 to tie for first place and help the Pennsylvania College of Technology golf team win the Bernie Guss Classic hosted by Penn State New Kensington. The Wildcats just beat out conference rival Penn State Mont Alto by one stroke scoring a team total of 326. This is the second win for the team this season.
A total of 29 golfers participated in the event battling rain and wind throughout the day. Senior Kurt Linhart (Zionsville) placed third with an 81 while junior Joseph Peters (Harrisburg), sophomore Alex Howe (Lake Ariel) and freshman Corey Teeple (Lake Ariel) each shot an 83 tying for fifth.
Also for the Wildcats, sophomore Chad Vuocolo (Lock Haven) placed sixth with an 84 and sophomore Thomas Sonderegger (Westford, Mass.) shot a 92 in exhibition.
Next up, Penn College travels to Penn State Fayette for the Mystic Rocks Invitational on Monday, Oct. 3.
