Fall 2011 Golf: Mont Alto Invitational - Penn National

The Wildcats opened with 2011 with a victory at Penn State Mont Alto

MONT ALTO, Pa. – Freshman Corey Teeple (Lake Ariel) shot a 74 to help lead the Pennsylvania College of Technology golf team to victory at the Penn State Mont Alto Invitational. Conditions were rainy and windy on the day, but the Wildcats were able to overcome the weather. Teeple’s score placed him first among 21 golfers in attendance. The Wildcats, with a score of 336, just edged out Penn State Mont Alto who scored 345.

Also for the Wildcats, sophomore Alex Howe (Lake Ariel) was second on the team with an 85 while junior Dan Kramer (Avon, Conn.) and sophomore Chad Vuoccolo (Lock Haven) were right behind with an 88 and 89 respectively.

Rounding out the scorers for Penn College were senior Kurt Linhart (Zionsville) with a 91 and freshman Nick Krupka (Allentown) with a 94.

The Wildcats will host their own invitational on Monday, Sept 19 at the White Deer Golf Club. Tee time is set for 11 a.m.
