Penn College pulled the game within one before the Shockers pulled away in the second half
TAKOMA PARK, Md. – Freshmen Elizabeth Greis (Pottsville) and Valeria Passalacqua (McAlisterville) each notched a goal as the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s soccer team lost 7-2 to Washington Adventist University Saturday night. The Shockers scored three second half goals that clinched the victory for them. The Wildcats fall to 3-5-2 overall.
Washington Adventists’ Ashley Weisenberg scored two goals in the first half while Brieanna Yon netted one to go up 3-0. Greis put the Wildcats on the board in the 41st off a pass from Passalacqua. She then followed it up with her own goal just a minute later to make it 3-2. Junior Kierstin Steer (South Williamsport) assisted on the goal.
The Shockers scored one more goal in the half to go into the break up 4-2.
Penn College notched eight shots and a corner kick in the game. Freshman keeper Stephanie Koleno (Moshannon) had eight saves off of 23 shots.
The Wildcats finish out the season on Saturday, Oct. 29 at Alfred University for a 1 p.m. game.
