Freshman Aaron Volz had four saves in the loss
SCRANTON, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology dropped its final regular season match 2-0 to Marywood University Saturday. The game is the fifth this week for the Wildcats having to play several rescheduled conference matches due to the inclement weather throughout the season.
The game was scoreless in the first half with the Pacers outshooting Penn College (10-6-2) 11-5. Freshman keeper Aaron Volz (West Chester) had two saves in the half. Marywood’s (11-3) Christian Lawlor scored out of the break in the 57th. The team would clinch it with a goal in the 85th from Matthew Homishak.
Volz finished the game with four saves. The Wildcats totaled seven shots and had three corners.
Penn College next hosts Penn State Brandywine in the Penn State University Athletic Conference’s Championship semifinals on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 3 p.m.
