WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Freshman goalkeeper Aaron Volz (West Chester) had four saves but it wasn’t enough as the Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s soccer team lost 1-0 to Wilkes University. The Wildcats outshot Wilkes 16-14 but could not convert any as they fall to 3-2-2 overall.

Eric McAnena scored the game winner for the Colonels in the 57th when the Penn College defense misplayed a ball that allowed him to tap a deflection past Volz. Wilkes keeper Dave Marr made 13 saves to guarantee the win for his team.

The game was filled with rough play as the Wildcats committed 22 of 36 total fouls. The officials dealt out five cards total for the match.

Next up, Penn College will continue travel to Albright College for an 8pm match on Thursday, Sept. 22.
