Sophomore Godwin Omo-Ekpadi scored his first goal of the season against the Lions

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, Pa. – Senior Patrick Kehoe (Oley) had three assists to help the Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s soccer team to a 5-1 win over Penn State Schuylkill. Sophomore Christopher Brennan (New Hope) scored two goals as the Wildcats outshot Schuylkill 37-1. The win is the first in the Penn State University Athletic Conference for the team that improves to 3-1-1 overall and 1-0-1 in conference.

Sophomore Tristan Smith (Bermuda) got things started netting a goal from Kehoe in the 11th. After Brennan scored in the 22nd, sophomore Godwin Omo-Ekpadi (Norristown) gave the team the 3-0 lead when junior William DeAngelo (Dallas) sent him a strong pass to score.

The Lions earned a penalty kick with less than a minute in the half to chip away at the lead 3-1, but Penn College came back in the 62nd when Brennan scored followed by a goal from sophomore Phil Bair (Franklintown) in the 68th to take the win comfortably. Kehoe assisted on both goals.

Next up, the Wildcats take on cross-town rival Lycoming College for the second annual Battle for the Lumber on Saturday, Sept. 17. The match is set to begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Balls Mills Soccer Complex.
