Fall 2011 Men's Soccer: Davis College

Sophomore Cody Sollenberger scored the game winner in the Wildcats' season opener
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Five different players netted goals as the Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s soccer team opened its 2011 season with a 5-0 defeat over Davis College. The Wildcat defense allowed only one shot as the offense put on a show with 33. Sophomore Cody Sollenberger (Lancaster) scored the game winner on an unassisted deflection in the 10th minute.
Freshman Sterling Weikel (Dewart) scored his first career goal off a cross into the opposite side net in the in the 13th. Sophomore Chris Brennan (New Hope) scored off a pass from senior Patrick Kehoe (Oley) in the 30th. Freshman Chase Gallie (Sunbury) outhustled a defender to score from freshman Daniel Demille (Bethel) in the 43rd as Penn College (1-0) went into the half up 4-0.
Senior William DeAngleo (Dallas) closed out Penn College’s tab with a header off a cross from sophomore Godwin Omo-Ekpadi (Norristown) in the 55th.
Freshman keeper Aaron Volz (West Chester) recorded a save and the win.
The Wildcats will next host conference opponent Penn State Brandywine on Saturday, Sept. 3 for a 1 p.m. match.
