Spring 2011 Baseball: PSUAC Playoffs @ Medler Field PSU Brandywine

Junior Brett Braker had two singles and two RBIs in the loss
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology baseball team lost 10-5 to #2 Penn State Brandywine in the Penn State University Athletic Conference playoffs. The game was the eighth in four days for the Wildcats as they ran out of steam and came up just short of a spot in the championships. They end the season 22-11 overall and 13-9 in the PSUAC.
Down 8-0 in the fifth, Penn College put up five runs, all on two outs, to cut the lead to three runs. Sophomore Ryan Weachock (Pottsville) hit a two RBI single. Junior Brett Braker (Northampton) followed that up with another two RBI single. Junior Skylar Gingrich was the fifth run scoring on a passed ball.
It was a tough day for the Wildcat pitching staff. Freshman Jarod Bull (Jacobus) recorded the loss pitching in three innings and giving up three runs. Freshman James Funk (Washington Boro) came in relief and pitched two innings allowing five runs. Freshman Philip Carnebale (Carteret, N.J.) finished the game allowing two runs and striking out one.
Braker finished the game with two hits as did junior Garett Hornung (Emporium). Sophomore Josh Longsderff (Columbia) also racked up a hit.
