March 8, 2011

The Wildcats notched four hits against Olney Central
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – It was another tough day for the Pennsylvania College of Technology softball team as they dropped two more games at the Snowbird Softball tournament in Myrtle Beach. The Wildcats lost 7-0 to Lincoln College (Ill.) and 9-0 to Olney Central College. Sophomore Lacy Lose (Avis) led the team with two hits on the day as it falls to 0-4 overall.
Against Lincoln, Lose was the only Wildcat to get a hit with a single in the fourth. It was a sloppy game for Penn College as it committed five errors allowing six unearned runs.
The Wildcats scattered four hits against Olney Central with Lose, sophomores Amber Eck (Williamsport), Desiree Buffington (Pillow) and Amanda Baney (Williamsport) notching singles. Fielding again was a problem as they committed five errors allowing seven unearned runs.
Penn College will look to improve as it takes on SUNY IT and Dakota State University on March 9.
