Junior James Fortenberry notched 22 kills against Juniata and Altoona

ALTOONA, Pa. – Sophomore Adam Smith (Duncannon) had 27 kills and six digs as the Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s volleyball team went 1-1 in its first conference tri match of the season.

The Wildcats took on host Penn State Altoona in the opener winning 25-23, 25-14, 23-25, 25-23. Smith led the team in the match with 15 kills while junior James Fortenberry (Lemoyne) had 13 and senior Andrew Epley (Littlestown) added 11. Sophomore Brad Kabosky (Hunlock Creek) notched 24 assists. As a team, they had 19 digs and 11.5 blocks.

Penn College (2-3, 1-1) had a tougher time against Juniata College. The match went to five with Juniata earning the win 25-18, 25-21, 19-25, 19-25, 15-9. Epley led Penn College with 18 kills while Smith earned 12. Kabosky matched his first game assist total with 24.

The Wildcats will host Lock Haven and Bloomsburg universities on Saturday, Feb. 12 for a conference tri match starting at noon.
