The Wildcats took third at the Kutztown tournament

KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s volleyball team took home third place at the Kutztown University Men’s Volleyball Tournament this past weekend. The Wildcats lost to host Kutztown University in a single set match 25-22 in the semifinals. In the game, senior Andrew Epley (Littlestown) led with six kills and two blocks. Senior Phil Reist (Washington Boro) and sophomore Jared Palko (Waymart) each added five digs and sophomore Brad Kabosky (Hunlock Creek) racked up 23 assists.

In pool play, Penn College (7-5) went 2-1 defeating both Lehigh Valley University and Lebanon Valley College 2-0. A tough Millersville squad gave the team a 2-0 loss.

The Wildcats faced PSU Berks in the first elimination round and edged by them 2-1. Epley had eight kills and two blocks to lead the team in the game. Kabosky notched 23 assists.

The Wildcats will travel to Messiah College for a single match at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 24.
