Penn College archery had three top place finishers at the tournament

Penn College archery had three top place finishers at the tournament

MANSFIELD, Conn. – Junior Glen Thomas (Mercer) and freshmen Ashley Baker (Coudersport) and Kelvin Dewalt (Easton) took home individual trophies as the Pennsylvania College of Technology archery team competed at the New England Collegiate Archery Tournament at the University of Connecticut this past weekend. Thomas won men’s recurve while Baker took first in women’s compound and Dewalt was victorious in the bowhunter class.

Also for Penn College, senior Tyler Gale (Kennedyville, Md.) was second in men’s recurve. Senior Danny Wido (Shickshinny) was second and freshman Zachary Bixby (Gillett) was third in men’s compound. Sophomore Joe Dowdrick (Lebanon) rounded out the finishers placing second in bowhunter.

The event did not feature any team competitions.

Next up, the Wildcats will host the East Region Intercollegiate Archery Championships on Apr. 15 and 16.
