Fall 2010 Men's Soccer: USCAA Soccer Championships - Semifinal Maine Fort Kent

BURLINGTON, Vt. – The #1 University of Maine – Fort Kent ended the Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s soccer championship run as they won 2-0 in the USCAA Men’s Soccer Semifinals. Senior keeper Dan Shaffer (Shermans Dale) had five saves in the loss. Penn College ends its 2010 season with an impressive 16-4 overall record and 10-0 in the PSUAC.
The Wildcats held Fort Kent, a team that averages five goals a game, scoreless in the opener.
The Penn College defense would only allow seven shots from the team.
In the second half, Fort Kent scored in the 69th. They would add an insurance goal in the 74th. Penn College had a chance to get on the board when Patrick Masango had a fast break, but couldn’t get the shot past the Fort Kent defense.
