Three Wildcats placed at the NCWA State Championships
MEDIA, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology wrestling team competed in the National Collegiate Wrestling Association’s Pennsylvania State Championships Saturday. Sophomore Tyler Myers (Centre Hall) placed second, losing in a 12-8 decision, in the 157 class as two other Wildcat wrestlers placed in the event.
In the 141 class, freshman Edward Turner (Home) came back from a first round loss to win three straight matches and take third place. He defeated independent wrestler D. Hong in a fall at 5:09.
At 149, freshman Robert Burns (Schwenksville) defeated independent B. Burns with a fall at 1:01 to take third place.
Penn College will travel to Bloomsburg University on Friday, Feb. 18 for preliminary bouts starting at 6 p.m.
