Sophomore Kierstin Steer led the Wildcats with 16 points

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Sophomore Casey Braun (Hughesville) notched a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds to help the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s basketball team to a 71-32 win over Davis College.

In the first half, Davis College (2-3) had the lead at 8-7 in the 15th before a 9-0 run, four from freshman Tosha Stover (Bellefonte), gave the Wildcats the lead. Stover would finish the game with four points, eight rebounds and three steals.

Penn College (2-1, 0-0 PSUAC) would build its leads to as high as 19 before ending the half 40-22.

It was cruise control in the second, as the Wildcats came out with an 8-0 run, four from sophomore Kierstin Steer (South Williamsport) to build their lead to 28. Steer finished the game leading her team in scoring with 16 points. She also had nine rebounds and five assists.

Also in double figures were freshmen Katherine Lisi (Montoursville) with 12 points and Hilary Rice (Biglerville) with 10.

As a team, Penn College shot 42 percent from the field and 66 percent from the line. They also notched 17 steals and out-rebounded the Falcons 51-37.

The Wildcats will next travel to the University of Pittsburgh – Titusville on Saturday, November 20 for a 2 p.m. game.
