2010-11 Men's Basketball: PSU Hazleton

With the victory, the Wildcats clinch the #2 seed and will host PSU Brandywine on Saturday, Feb. 19 at 3 p.m.
HAZLETON, Pa. – Junior Leroy Joiner (Williamsport) sank 23 points and pulled down 11 boards as the Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s team defeated Penn State Hazleton 79-69. Senior Greg Solyak had 22 points as the team finishes the regular season 13-12 overall and 12-3 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference.
Also for Penn College, senior Nico Italiani (Easton) added 11 points and senior Phillip Kaylor (Lebanon) notched 10.
The Wildcats were up 42-29 at the half before Hazleton made a comeback and tied the game at 54. Penn College put on the press and made a run to get a 10 point lead. The team controlled the play and clock from that point and closed out the game for the victory.
As a team, the Wildcats shot 30 for 52 (.526) from the field and out-rebounded the lions 36-25.
As the second seed in the PSUAC playoffs, Penn College will host a quarterfinal on Saturday, Feb. 19 at 3p.m.
