The Wildcats had 28 rebounds and 11 steals on the afternoon
VALLEY FORGE, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s basketball team lost 99-61 to a fast and strong shooting Valley Forge Christian College team. Junior Leroy Joiner (Williamsport) notched a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds in the loss. This loss is the fourth straight as the Wildcats now fall to 6-11 overall.
As a team, Penn College had 28 rebounds and 11 steals, but turnovers proved to an issue with the team committing 24. They were 24 for 65 (.369) from the field for the game and made 11 of 19 (.579) at the line.
Also for the Wildcats, freshman Ethan Kline (Bellefonte), and seniors Phil Kaylor (Lebanon) and Nico Italiani (Easton) each had 10 points on the afternoon. Kline also had seven asssits on the afternoon.
The Patriots came out strong scoring 54 points in the opener to Penn College’s 32. They hit seven threes in the half and were 20-36 (.556) from the field.The Wildcats were 13 for 35 (.371) and hit one three in the half.
Penn College will next travel to Penn State Hazleton for a conference match on Tuesday, Feb. 1 for an 8 p.m. game.
