Senior Greg Solyak scored a season high 30 points

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Senior Greg Solyak (Lititz) scored a season high 30 points and added 11 rebounds as the Pennsylvania College of Technology fell short to Misericordia University 93-87. The Wildcats were down by 18 with 10 left before staging a comeback that would put them within two with :49 left on the clock. The Cougars would hit free throws to clinch the win.

Junior Leroy Joiner (Williamsport) scored 20 and had 10 boards for his sixth double-double on the season while senior Nico Italiani (Easton) added 12 and senior Phil Kaylor (Lebanon) and freshman Ethan Kline (Bellefonte) each scored 10.

Misericordia (8-5, 1-1 MAC) opened up the game on a 5-0 run before Kaylor hit a jumper to put the Wildcats on the board. Solyak would go 4-6 from beyond the arc on the half and score 18.

Penn College (3-6, 2-0 PSUAC) went into the half down 29-38.

As a team, they shot 48.6 percent from the field and had their best game at the charity stripe going 7-8 (87.5). They out rebounded the Cougars 37-35.

Next up, the Wildcats will travel to Penn State Fayette on Saturday, Jan. 8 for a 3 p.m. conference game.
