WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s basketball team dropped its second straight as it lost 80-68 to Arcadia University. Junior Leroy Joiner (Williamsport) notched his second double-double of the season with 23 points and 19 rebounds. Senior Greg Solyak (Lititz) led all scorers with 26 points.

Coming out of the half tied, Penn College (0-2) allowed the Knights to build up their lead over the first seven minutes to 12. The lead would stay in double figures until the last minute of the half when Solyak would hit two from the charity stripe to bring it to within seven.

Solyak would go 5-5 on the line.

Foul trouble would allow Arcadia (1-0) free trips to the free throw line as the team would build its lead back up and end the game 80-68.

It was a different story in the opener with both teams taking turns at the top. Four ties and six lead changes later, the half ended with both teams at 42.

As a team, the Wildcats shot 35 percent from the field to Arcadia’s 44. Defensively the team was strong out-rebounding its opponent 55-42.

Freshman Bryant House (Columbia Cross Roads) added 10 rebounds on the night.

Next up, Penn College travels to Susquehanna University for the annual Tip Off Tournament. The Wildcats will take on the hosts in a 6 p.m. game on Friday, November 19.
