Junior Leroy Joiner was honored at the start of the game for scoring 1,000 points
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Despite 23 points and 15 rebounds from junior Leroy Joiner (Williamsport), the Pennsylvania College of Technology men's basketball team fell 63-72 to Central Penn College in the season opener. The Wildcats was up 36-30 in the half, but poor shooting after the break and key free throw shooting from the Knights were factors in the loss.
For Penn College senior Phillip Kaylor (Lebanon, Pa.) had 11 points and three rebounds.
As a team, the Wildcats 37 percent from the field and 64 percent from the line.
Penn College also honored Joiner after his first made bucket for scoring 1,000 points. Joiner hit the mark last season as a sophomore in the last game on the road.
Next up, Penn College will host Arcadia University in non-conference action on Monday, November 15 at 7pm.
