Freshman Derek Hoover bowled a team high 267

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Pennsylvania College of Technology took the top spot in its second consecutive match at the Lehigh Carbon Community College Invitational. The team of sophomore Aaron Smith (Waynesboro), senior Wes Moyer (Fleetwood), sophomore Merle Burkhart (Lancaster) and junior Peter Stuut (Northumberland) averaged a 228, a season high.

Freshman Derek Hoover (Pleasant Gap) bowled a 267 to lead all Wildcat bowlers in the competition.

Also for the Wildcats, sophomore Travis Rupert (Lock Haven), Hoover, junior Eric Kennedy (Lewistown) and freshman Ian Hickey (Middleburg) placed fifth with a 201 average.

Next up, Penn College will travel to Town and Country Lanes in Bethlehem, Pa. for the Northampton Community College Invitational on Dec. 1 at 3 p.m.
