Fall 2010 Cross Country: Albright College

Freshman Shannon Abercrombie placed seventh at the meet
READING, Pa. – Freshman Jake Shedden (Canton) won and set a course record at the Albright College Invitational Saturday. Shedden ran a 27:27 for the men’s 8K as the Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s cross country team placed second. Senior Tamara Pavlov (Lewisburg) came in third on the women’s side running a 27:30 for the 6K race.
For the men, sophomore Travis Cain (Bloomsburg) placed fifth (30:02), junior Seth Beckman (Linden) was 10th (31:08) and sophomore William Fuka (Clifton, V.) was 16th (32:18).
For the women, freshman Shannon Abercrombie (Roaring Branch) placed seventh (29:12).
Rounding out the top 20 for the men was sophomore Brandon Knapp (Shenandoah) at 18th (32:38), freshman Cody Huffman (Littlestown) at 19th (32:40) and senior Mike Fischer (Ringwood, N.J.) at 20th (32:42).
Next up, Penn College will travel to Luzerne County Community College on Saturday, Oct. 16.
