Freshman Lindsay Moyer led the Wildcats with 13 kills in the 3-2 loss
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Despite 13 kills from freshman Lindsay Moyer (Canton), the Pennsylvania College of Technology women’s volleyball team just missed victory over cross town rivals Lycoming College losing 2-3 (24-26, 25-13, 24-26, 25-23, 15-8). The Wildcats now drop to 3-3 overall.
Up 2-1 in games, Penn College had a chance to for victory up 17-13 in the fourth. The Warriors would put together a run and take the set 25-23.
Junior Lyndsey Smith (Mechanicsburg) posted 31 assists while sophomore Ashley Matson-Donahay (Troy) posted 12 digs and six aces and freshman Paula Montiero (Rio De Janeiro, Brazil) added 15 digs and four kills.
Sophomore Tara Powell (Burgettstown) nearly missed a double-double with nine kills and 13 digs.
The Wildcats will next travel to Penn State Hazleton on Sept. 18 for a 7 p.m. match.
